German state to sue Volkswagen over diesel emission scandal

The German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg plans to sue Volkswagen A.G. over the emissions-testing scandal, Reuters reported citing sources. State institutions including police forces, purchased Volkswagen vehicles that the carmaker had secretly equipped with a device to fool diesel emissions tests. The state's finance ministry plans to lodge its claim before the end of this year.
