Aon reports increase in D&O pricing in third quarter

The price per million for directors and officers liability insurance for Aon PLC clients that renewed in both 2018 and 2017’s third quarters increased 3.1%, said Aon Risk Solutions in a report issued Friday.

For the second quarter, Aon had reported the comparable price per million decreased 1.5%.

Aon said in its latest report for the third quarter that 53% of those renewing with the same limit and deductible experienced a price increase, while only 8% reported a decrease. The overall price change for primary policies renewing with the same limit and deductible was a 3.2% increase.

A total of 90.6% of primary policies renewed with the same limit, 88.3% renewed with the same deductible and 95.3% renewed with the same insurer, according to the report.
