Cyber attacks cost cryptocurrency exchanges nearly $900 million
Posted On: Oct. 19, 2018 5:42 AM CSTRussia-based cyber security firm Group-IB said that cyber attacks cost cryptocurrency exchanges across the world $882 million in 2017 and in the first three quarters of this year, HelpNetSecurity reported. Group-IB said that hackers breached at least 14 cryptocurrency exchanges. The hackers used phishing, social engineering and malware among other methods to target the exchanges, Group-IB added.
