AssuredPartners recruits aviation executive

AssuredPartners Inc. on Monday named Jon Downey president of AssuredPartners Aerospace LLC, the Lake Mary, Florida-based brokerage’s aviation unit.
Mr. Downey will be based in Denver and will report to Bill Behan, CEO of the unit, AssuredPartners said in a statement.
Most recently, Mr. Downey worked at aviation insurance agency AirSouth Insurance Inc. and had previously headed Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE’s U.S. aviation business.
Earlier this month, AssuredPartners bought two aviation insurance agencies.
