Victor names global head of capital markets

Victor Insurance Holdings Inc., a managing general underwriter, said Monday it has named Eric Solash to the newly created position of global head of capital markets.
Mr. Solash, based in New York, is responsible for advancing Victor’s capital markets strategies globally across all classes of property/casualty insurance, the Washington, D.C.-based firm said in its statement. He will report to Victor CEO Christopher Schaper.
Victor Insurance was formerly known as The Schinnerer Group.
Mr. Solash was previously managing director and head of alternative funding at General Electric Co., with responsibility for funding GE’s global infrastructure projects in power, renewable energy and health care developments.
