Storm disrupts shipping operations in Greece

A tropical storm caused flash floods and power outages and disrupted shipping operations in the Peloponnese peninsula in southern Greece on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30, Reuters reported citing media sources. Petros Tatoulis, regional governor of the Peloponnese, said that the storm damaged infrastructure, fields and homes in the region. Authorities said that the storm could also cause mudslides and floods in Athens.
