Canadian shippers face typhoon Mangkhut-related disruption

British Columbia's shippers in Canada faced delays in cargo shipments after typhoon Mangkhut disrupted port and air operations in Hong Kong, Biv.com reported citing South China Morning Post. Hong Kong suspended port activities between Sept. 15 and Sept. 17 and cancelled or delayed nearly 900 flights at Hong Kong International Airport. Bonnie Gee, vice president of the province's Chamber of Shipping, said that British Columbia's limited rail capacity is likely to further delay cargo deliveries.
