Zurich North America names underwriting executive

Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. has named Brandon Fick as chief underwriting officer for Zurich North America, effective Sept. 17, the insurer said in a statement Tuesday.

Mr. Fick, now head of casualty for Zurich North America Commercial Insurance, will report directly to Kathleen Savio, CEO of Zurich North America, and will join the North America senior team.

Mr. Fick, based in Schaumburg, Illinois, replaces Geno Fernandez, who has left Zurich to pursue other opportunities, a Zurich North America spokeswoman said. 

“Brandon will help us continue to deliver profitable underwriting results and solutions that meet our customers’ changing needs,” Ms. Savio said in the statement.
