Aon taps former Guy Carpenter exec as CEO of Global ReSpecialty

Aon PLC has named former Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC Bermuda CEO Peter Stubbings as CEO of its Global ReSpecialty operation effective Jan. 1, 2019, Aon’s reinsurance solutions business in London announced Friday.

Mr. Stubbings will succeed Bob Bissett, who will become Aon’s U.K. growth leader, a newly created position, with responsibility for overseeing Aon’s nine U.K. business divisions on Jan. 1.

On the same date, Tom Wakefield will become chief operating officer of Global ReSpecialty, replacing Mark Skilton, who will become vice chairman of Global ReSpecialty, a newly created position.

All the executives are based in London.

Aon has made several senior management changes since announcing in May that it was dropping its Aon Benfield and Aon Risk Solutions brands.
