U.S.-based Moody's Investors Service Inc. said that alternative capital vehicles operated by traditional reinsurers offer competitive advantage to the sector, Artemis reports. This might accelerate the shift towards reinsurer managed insurance-linked securities assets. The ratings agency also said that increased reinsurance demand could serve to add some balance between supply and demand within the industry.
