Chubb establishes Asia-Pacific unit

Chubb Ltd. has established a major accounts division in the Asia-Pacific region, the insurer announced Monday.

The new center will be a dedicated premium service encompassing underwriting, risk engineering and claims for the region’s large, global and multinational clients and business partners, Chubb said in a statement. Doug White, currently country president of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, will head the new operation. He will report to Jason Keen, Chubb’s regional head of property/casualty for Asia-Pacific.

Chubb also announced that Patrick Wong has been appointed to the newly created position of global client executive, North Asia. Mr. Wong, who currently serves as Chubb’s head of property/casualty for Hong Kong, will report to Mr. White.

Both appointments are effective Oct. 1.
