The savings are a result of the businesses’ successful completion of workplace safety inspections, according to a statement issued by the Delaware Department of Insurance.
In total, Delaware employers have saved over $45 million in workers compensation insurance premiums over the past five years by participating in the program, according to the statement.
“When businesses are trying to decide where to locate, the cost of workers compensation is often top of mind,” the commissioner said in the statement.
