Osaka quake damages more than 6,000 buildings

Japanese authorities said that a recent 6.1-magnitude earthquake damaged more than 6,200 buildings in Osaka Prefecture and 531 structures in neighboring regions, The Japan Times reported. Osaka Monorail Co. Ltd. had to suspend services on June 24 due to damaged train carriages. The quake struck on June 18.
