Competition, political unrest hamper insurers' profitability

Ltd. said that increasing competition, political unrest, challenging regulatory environment and economic conditions are hampering Jordanian insurers' profitability, Asia Insurance Review reported. The report said that local insurers could face more stringent regulations as the Central Bank of Jordan is expected to introduce rules in accordance with international standards.
