Brexit poses risk to viability of UK manufacturers: Trade group

The Confederation of British Industry said that some sectors in the U.K.'s manufacturing industry risk going out of business amid trade-related disruptions post Brexit, The Guardian reported citing BBC. Paul Drechsler, the confederation's president, said that the local car industry is particularly vulnerable due to its “just in time” production method. Mr. Drechsler called on the U.K. government to set up a new customs union to reduce trade regulations-related delays post Brexit.
