Ryan Specialty appoints exec for new underwriting facility

Ryan Specialty Group L.L.C. named Katie Davies to be president and CEO of a new property catastrophe managing underwriting facility exclusive to R-T Specialty L.L.C., the company said in a statement Thursday.

The facility will provide additional capacity for all forms of property exposure and will have a strong catastrophe component, the statement said.

Previously, Ms. Davies was president of AmWINS Special Risk Underwriters. 

“Katie Davies is a highly respected leader and one of the best property minds in the industry,” Ryan Specialty Group said in its statement. “With her leadership, we are confident that she will attract additional top underwriting talent to develop and build out this new facility.”
