XL Catlin launches terror insurance for fleet owners

Bermuda-based insurer XL Catlin has launched an insurance product for companies with fleets of vehicles which could be used as a weapon in a terrorist attack, The Royal Gazette reported. The – Auto Terror Protect product covers fleet operators, vehicle rental companies and logistics companies for motor and third-party liability with up to $25 million capacity for any one risk. The insurance also covers employees who may be injured in a terrorist attack and any first-party property damage for the vehicle or goods in transit.
