Arch Capital to expand Irish operations for post Brexit hub

Bermuda-based insurer Arch Capital Group Ltd. plans to expand its operations in Ireland to ensure access to the European Union post Brexit, The Irish Times reported. The insurer is applying for regulatory approval to continue underwriting operations of its U.K.-based unit Arch Insurance Co. and its Gibraltar-based subsidiary Alwyn Insurance Co. Ltd. from Ireland.
