VW plans to suspend production to comply with new standards

Herbert Diess, chief executive of Germany-based Volkswagen A.G., said that the automaker plans to shut production at its plant in Wolfsburg for a few days in September to comply with new lab test standards, Euronews reported citing Reuters. Mr. Diess said that Volkswagen will plan closure days in September to ensure that the number of vehicles awaiting regulatory approval does not increase.
