Zurich sets up new entity for general takaful business
Posted On: Jun. 5, 2018 6:25 AM CSTInsurer Zurich Takaful Malaysia Berhad has transferred its general takaful business to a newly-incorporated entity according to the requirements of the country's Islamic Financial Services Act 2013, The Edge Markets reported. The insurer has appointed Zuhairi Ismail as chief executive of Zurich General Takaful Malaysia Berhad. Zurich Takaful said that the transfer covers employees, assets and liabilities, distributors and contracts with effect from June 1.
