Storm Nate causes more than $50 million of damage in Costa Rica

Costa Rica's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock said that storm Nate caused 30 billion Costa Rican colon ($53 million) worth of damage, The Costa Rican Times reported. Wind and floods damaged nearly 9,000 farms and swept away more than 67,000 animals. The storm hit the Central Pacific region between Oct. 4 and Oct. 6, 2017.
