Japanese city looks to artificial intelligence to predict tsunamis

Japan-based tech company Fujitsu Ltd. is using artificial intelligence to predict tsunamis in the city of Kawasaki and help local governments shape disaster response plans, GovInsider reported. The project focuses on real-time analysis and simulations using a sensor network off Japan's coast. Fujitsu is working with the International Research Institute of Disaster Science for the project.
