Indonesia sets foreign ownership limit in insurers at 80%

Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo has signed a resolution that sets the foreign ownership limit in insurers at 80%, Asia Insurance Review reported. The ownership limit applies to newly incorporated insurers as well as insurers in which foreign ownership has not yet reached 80% of the paid up capital after the regulation takes effect.
