Cyber attacks hit 40% of Gulf businesses: Study

A study by U.A.E.-based IT services firm Gulf Business Machines B.S.C. found that cyber attacks hit more than 40% of businesses in the region at least once in 2017, compared with 28% in 2016, Arabian Business reported citing Emirates News Agency. More than 30% of attacks targeted the organizations' operating technology. The study found that 32% of Gulf organizations do not have a security operations center increasing the likelihood of an unnoticed breach of their system.
