New surplus lines insurer recruits CFO, underwriters

Ategrity Specialty Insurance Co., the surplus lines insurer being formed by former Scottsdale Insurance Co. President Mike Miller, took on several senior staff over the past few weeks.

Jeffrey Marshall, who most recently was chief financial officer of Spectrum Medical Partners Inc. in Lake Mary, Florida, has joined Scottsdale, Arizona-based Ategrity as CFO, an Ategrity spokesman confirmed.

Mr. Marshall previously held senior finance roles at third-party administrator York Risk Services Group Inc. and specialty insurer Strongwood Insurance Holdings Corp.

In addition, Jason Johnsen has joined Ategrity as managing director, brokerage property. Most recently, Mr. Johnsen worked at specialty insurer IAT Insurance Group, but previously spent six years at Scottsdale, which is now known as Nationwide Excess and Surplus.

Dylan Campbell has also joined Ategrity as senior underwriter – brokerage. Previously, he worked at Selective Insurance.

Mr. Miller announced he was forming Ategrity last month and that former Scottsdale executive John Goodloe would be chief underwriting officer and Joe Griffith, another former Scottsdale executive, would be chief information officer.
