Cyber attacks target Mexican banks

Mexico's central bank said that cyber attackers attempted to breach the country's interbank electronic payment systems on April 27, forcing three local banks to enact contingency plans, Bloomberg reported citing sources. Banco de Mexico said that the banks plan to connect to its network using other methods that contingency plans call for, which could cause delays in money transfers.
