Munich Re sanguine on traditional reinsurance business

Joachim Wenning, chief executive of Munich Reinsurance Co., said that the reinsurer's traditional business has "sustained growth potential" driven by digital transformation and reduction in complexity, Artemis.bm reports. Munich Re's ERGO Strategy Program and reinsurance will contribute in equal measure to increased profits in the coming years, he added. "We expect to achieve savings of over €200 million per year before tax," Mr. Wenning said.
