Alien-abduction insurance still sells in low-risk FloridaPosted On: Apr. 27, 2018 12:33 PM CST
Despite the odds of a spotting an unidentified object in Florida being the lowest among all states, alien-abduction insurance is still an option, The Palm Beach Post reported Tuesday.
A recent study by internet gambling site Casino.org put the odds of seeing a UFO in Florida at 348,500-to-1. And someone is betting on fears.
The Palm Beach Post contacted Mike St. Lawrence, who has been operating The Alien Abduction & Casualty Insurance Co. out of his home in Altamonte Springs, selling $20 policies since 1987. “People buy them for somebody else,” Mr. St. Lawrence told a reporter. “They usually just make themselves the beneficiary.”
