Energy companies concerned about catastrophic cyber attacks: Survey

A survey by U.S.-based cyber security firm Tripwire Inc. found that about 70% of IT and operational technology security professionals at energy companies are concerned that a successful cyber attack could cause catastrophic failure such as an explosion, Infosecurity reported. The survey found that 97% of respondents are concerned that cyber attacks could cause operational shutdowns.
