Marsh unit to acquire Scottish insurance broker

U.K.-based insurance broker Jelf Group P.L.C., a unit of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., plans to acquire Scotland-based Clark Thomson Insurance Brokers Ltd., Scottish Business News Network reported. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of this year. Jelf will combine its existing Scottish operations and Clark Thomson into a single business unit.
