Heavy rains lash UK, flood alerts issued

The U.K.'s Met Office has issued dozens of flood alerts following heavy rains in central and southern regions, Mirror.co.uk reported. Nearly 60 flood alerts were issued for areas including the Lower River Nidd, North Yorkshire in the north to Weymouth rivers and streams in Dorset in the south. The flood risk is expected to last up to April 15.
