Sompo International names global head of aviation reinsurance

Sompo International, a subsidiary of Sompo Holdings Inc., said Monday that former Qatar Reinsurance Company Ltd. executive Patrick Cove has joined the global specialty reinsurance team as global head of aviation reinsurance.
Mr. Cove, who is based in Zurich replaces Tim Griffiths, who is no longer with the company, a spokeswoman for the Bermuda-based company said.
Mr. Cove is responsible for airline hull and liability, aircraft manufacturers' products liability, and general aviation risks. He reports to Adrian Poxon, executive vice president and head of global specialty reinsurance.
