Axa opens new office in Brazil

France-based insurer Axa S.A. has opened a new office in Brazilian city Recife to serve the state of Pernambuco and the country's northeast region, Segs.com reported. The new branch will provide insurance for marine, aeronautics, named risks, operational risks, engineering risks and civil liability, among others. The insurer's premiums grew 52% to more than 1 billion Brazilian real ($301 million) in the country in 2017.
