Scor announces executive changes

French reinsurer Scor S.E. has named Laurent Rousseau to be deputy CEO of Scor Global S.E. property and casualty, effective April 1, 2018, the company said in a statement.

Mr. Rousseau, now chief underwriting officer of Scor Global property and casualty’s treaty business in Europe, Middle East and Africa, will also become chief underwriting officer for specialty lines and business solutions, the statement said.

He replaces Benjamin Gentsch, who is leaving Scor as of April 1, 2018. “Benjamin is leaving to pursue activities outside of the group,” a spokesman said.

Mr. Gentsch served as CEO of Scor Switzerland and deputy CEO of Scor Global property/casualty for more than 10 years, the statement said.

Douglas Lacoss, chief reserving actuary at Scor Global property/casualty, will become chief underwriting officer for the EMEA treaty business, replacing Mr. Rousseau.

Ecaterina Nisipasu, head of actuarial modeling, will become head of reserving, capital modeling and risk management for Scor Global property/casualty, mainly replacing Mr. Lacoss in the chief reserving actuary position, the statement said.

Andreas Frank will become CEO of Scor Switzerland A.G. and Scor Holding (Switzerland) A.G., succeeding Mr. Gentsch in those roles.

Mr.  Frank is now chief financial officer for Scor Switzerland A.G. and CEO of Scor Services Switzerland A.G., the statement said.
