Experts said that building trust and technical competence are vital for insurance brokers to remain competitive in the market, Asia Insurance Review reported. Marcellus Wong, vice chairman of the board of directors of Hong Kong-based consultancy firm AMTD Group Co. Ltd., said that the corporate insurance brokerage industry is likely to consolidate and players with global ambitions will expand their international network. Mr. Wong said that small and local independent brokers are likely to focus on small and medium-sized enterprises and look to tap into new market segments.
