Wyoming Senate passes reciprocity bill on temp worker comp cover

The Wyoming state Senate on Tuesday passed a workers compensation reciprocity bill in a 30-0 vote.

H.B. 10, sponsored by the Joint Labor, Health & Social Services Interim Committee, would allow employers in other states to use their state policies to cover people temporarily working in Wyoming. This pertains if the workers comp or similar law of the nonresident employer’s home state applies to all injuries and deaths occurring in that state, according to the bill’s latest text.

H.B. 10 is now awaiting signature from Gov. Matt Mead.
