Hailstorm damage bill exceeds $46 million

A hailstorm caused more than 3 billion Indian rupees ($46 million) worth of damage to crops in the Indian state of Maharashtra, The Times of India reported. The hailstorm damaged more than 300,000 hectares of crops in the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions between Feb. 11 and Feb 14.
