Indiana House approves drug formulary bill

The Indiana House of Representatives approved a bill to adopt an Official Disability Guidelines workers compensation drug formulary on Tuesday.

S.B. 369, authored by Republican state Sen. Randall Head, passed out of the state’s House of Representatives on a 67-28 vote.

The drug formulary would prohibit workers comp and occupational disease compensation reimbursement for drugs specified in the ODG. The bill requires the adoption of the formulary by Jan. 1, 2019, according to the bill’s latest text.

S.B. 369 now heads to Indiana Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb for approval.
