Professional liability insurance claims rise 40% in Brazil

Fernando Cirelli, superintendent of financial lines at Brazil-based BR Insurance Corretora de Seguros S.A., said that the segment grew due to increasing insurance requirement from clients to their service providers under specific contracts. "The increase in demand for Errors & Omissions insurance is due to new activities, such as advancement in engineering, medical and law services," Mr. Cirelli said.
