Windstorm Doris insured loss estimate lowered
Posted On: Feb. 23, 2018 8:30 AM CSTPerils A.G. slightly lowered its estimate of the insured property market loss from extratropical cyclone Thomas, known as Doris in the United Kingdom and Ireland, to €248 million ($307.7 million).
The fourth and final estimate for the storm, which affected the British Isles, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany in February 2017, is slightly below the €249 million estimate released in August 2017, the Zurich-based catastrophe loss data company said Friday in a statement.
Most of the losses from Thomas occurred in the United Kingdom, according to Perils.
