Ukraine, Russia, Brazil account for most political risk claims: Report
Posted On: Feb. 19, 2018 4:55 AM CSTA report from U.K.-based insurance broker Berry Palmer and Lyle Ltd. found that Ukraine accounted for $509 billion worth of political risk claims handled by the broker, followed by Russia ($195 billion) and Brazil ($187 billion), StrategicRisk reported. The report found that the uptake of credit and political risk insurance has grown 30% across the world. Maximum lines for non-payment private obligor risks and public obligor risks have risen to $2.4 billion and $3 billion, respectively, with increased appetite for longer duration deals, the report added.
