Iranian insurance industry ready to cooperate with foreign insurers: Regulator

Regulator Central Insurance of Iran is ready to help boost cooperation and interaction between local and foreign insurers, Mehr News Agency reported. Abdolnaser Hemmati, president of Central Insurance, said that the local insurance industry has adopted measures to attract foreign direct investment. The regulator has introduced investment alternatives such as purchase of stocks of Iranian insurers, establishment of branch offices of foreign insurers and creation of reinsurance brokers, he added.
