Aon predicts global cat bond issuances to fall nearly 20%

A report by U.S.-based investment banking firm Aon Securities Inc. predicts up to this year in global catastrophe bond issuances will fall by up to 18% this year from 2017, Artemis.bm reports. The report said that new sponsors and investors are likely to enter the insurance-linked securities market while existing sponsors are expected to renew maturing capacity. Global cat bond issuance are expected to fall to $9 billion from $11 billion in 2017.
