CNA names 3 to commercial insurance team

CNA Financial Corp. has made three appointments within its commercial Insurance organization, the insurer said Thursday.

Michael Kirchgessner has been appointed the the newly created role of senior vice president, underwriting for large/complex casualty business and will report to Kevin Leidwinger, president and chief operating officer for CNA commercial, the insurer said in a statement.

Chris Thurman has been appointed senior vice president, underwriting for workers compensation and will report to Julie Stephenson, commercial chief underwriting officer.

Kelly Walsh has been appointed senior vice president, underwriting for general liability and will also report to Ms. Stephenson.

All three executives are based in Chicago.
