TigerRisk names EMEA head

TigerRisk Partners L.L.C. has named Marc Beckers as partner and head of Europe, Middle East and Africa, the brokerage said Tuesday.

This is a new position at Stamford, Connecticut-based TigerRisk and marks the company’s entry into that market, a TigerRisk spokesman said in an email.

Mr. Beckers was most recently head of Aon Benfield ReSolutions Europe, Middle East and Africa, TigerRisk said in a statement.

He will work from TigerRisk’s London office and will report to Tony Ursano, president of TigerRisk, with a dotted line to Hugo Crawley, head of TigerRisk’s London office, according to a spokesman for the company.

“Marc is a highly experienced, analytical and forward-thinking insurance industry executive and we are thrilled to have him join TigerRisk as head of our European operations,” Tony Ursano, president of TigerRisk, said in the statement.

“Marc is exactly the kind of experienced analytical and strategic thinker that is needed to help our clients in the current operating environment,” Rod Fox, CEO of TigerRisk, said in the statement.
