AssuredPartners acquires broker

AssuredPartners Inc. has acquired Insurance and Risk Management Services Inc., the insurance broker said in a statement Wednesday.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Insurance and Risk Management Services’ staff of 36 will stay on under company president George Schmelzle, the statement said. 

The Naples, Florida-based agency, founded in 1989, has about $6 million in annual revenues, the statement said.

“IRMS has assembled a team of exceptional individuals and clientele with a long-standing history with the agency,” Tom Riley, AssuredPartners president and COO, said in the statement.

Lake Mary, Florida-based AssuredPartners, ranked the 13th largest insurance broker in the U.S. by Business Insurance, said it has acquired more than 190 insurance agencies since 2011.
