Fish market fire damage bill surpasses $1.5 million

A fire at the Geraldton Fish Market in Western Australia on Dec. 22 caused at least $5 million Australia ($1.6 million) worth of damage to buildings, plant and equipment, The West Australian reported. "It's looking like quite a lot, if not all, because of the smoke damage," said company representative Jarrad Stee. He added that the Marine Terrace facility is insured.
