QBE North America selects chief operating officer

QBE North America has named Daniel Franzetti as chief operating officer, effective immediately, the company said in a statement Friday.
Mr. Franzetti, who will continue his role as chief claims officer for QBE North America, will add oversight of all North American operations, systems, architecture, communications and branding, succeeding Bob James, the statement said. Mr. James assumed the role of group head of transformation at QBE Limited out of London, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Franzetti will report to QBE North America Chief Executive Officer Russell Johnston and remain a member of the QBE North America Executive Management Board.
"Dan's experience working across the organization, including a proven and disciplined record of claims management, will be instrumental as we work to transform our business model to deliver long-term value for our customers, agents and shareholders," Mr. Johnston said in the statement.
