Hurricane Irma causes an estimated $13 billion in economic losses in Cuba

Cuba's government has said that hurricane Irma caused an estimated $13 billion in economic losses, Xinhua reported. The hurricane damaged thousands of homes, government infrastructure and crops and affected the country's tourism. The hurricane battered nearly 70% of the island, mainly along the northern coast, in September.
