Nonlife reinsurers' revenue, profit pressured in China: A.M. Best

Inc. found that nonlife reinsurers' revenue and profitability is pressured in China due to competition and the regulatory environment, Asia Insurance Review reported. The report found that the implementation of the China Risk-Oriented Solvency System has caused a glut of reinsurance capacity and increased retention by the direct industry, which pose threats to reinsurers' profitability.
